Bull
Bulls in the Bible.
God created bulls with a very intense anger driven personality. When somebody riles up a bull they had better run as fast as they can to get away. There is nothing like the rage of a bull and many cultures in the ancient world recognized the power of the bull, and it became a symbol of strength and fierceness and pure power. Bull worship was common throughout the nations of the ancient world, including Egypt where the Israelites were made slaves. Many scholars believe that the "golden calf" was actually a golden "bull" that the Israelites created while waiting for Moses on Mount Sinai. The very first system of worship brought into the northern kingdom of Israel was when King Jeroboam introduced bull worship. 2 Kings 17 reveals the great sins that followed. The ancient Assyrians and Babylonians and Persians had exceptionally large bull guardians at the entrance to their palaces.
