The Book of Acts in the Bible.
The Acts of the Apostles is the fifth book of the New Testament. It was
written by Luke to give an account of the history and beginnings of the
Church of Jesus Christ and the spreading of the Christian gospel (good
news). The Book of Acts does not contain everything that happened in the
early church, but focuses on some of the main events surrounding the
life of Paul the apostle. The Book of Acts begins at the point when
Jesus ascended into heaven from the Mount of Olives commanding his
disciples to go into all the world to preach the gospel, and the book
ends with Paul's arrival in Rome when he had appealed unto Caesar, the
whole period of time was about 30 years.
